Wow it's been a while!

I have really gotten behind on this blogging thing. It's funny how important it is when your kids are babies to capture everything they do 'cause you know soon they will be 13 and you will wonder when you closed your eyes and they grew up (Kody), but then you get so busy with everyday life and you look at your blog and you have written anything since the summer....ugh. I am even behind on pics. I love to look back on this blog though and see all the little things Addyson was doing and pics of her when she was tiny. I remember lots of the little things I have forgotten when I look at this. So I will try to do better so next year I can remember all the little things she was doing this year....as well as all the things these crazy, busy boys are doing!
I am really looking forward to the holidays this year....even if I have to work on Christmas. One of the biggest reasons we moved back to Missouri was to be close to our family and not have to travel during the holidays. I am really excited about seeing cousins and aunts and uncles at Thanksgiving...some I haven't seen in years....one I have never even meet his wife and kids. So I am very Thankful to be close to family.....even if they get on your nerves from time to time :) I do miss my friends in Florida though. I have some great friends there that I still talk to weekly, but for a time they were the closest thing we had to an extended family in Florida and I miss hanging out with them.

4th of July Fun!!

Happy Independence Day!!

We had a great 4th of July. We went to an event here in Springfield called I love America. They had tons of kids activities and fireworks. We got there at about 2:00 and the kids played and watched the airshow until the fireworks started. The fireworks display was great.... it's been a while since I have been to a good one. Missouri here we come!!

Well I think we have narrowed it down to being out of Florida by the 15th of June. My job is going to hell in a handbag. We are fixing to start losing more hours possibly as early as next week. I have a job interview/ride along when we get to Missouri and it sounds pretty promising. Peter is coming up to take the merit test on 6/6/09. So hopefully he will here from those jobs soon.

Vacation

We had a great time at Busch Gardens over spring break. Addyson did much better than we expected, she rode in her stroller and looked at everything. Kody and Corbin were tall enough to ride all the rides, Corbin did get on everything he could though (I think he was a little scared). Reese wanted to ride everything but he is still about 2 or 3 inches to short for the 3 biggest rides (maybe next year). Addyson is still to little to ride nearly everything. But we are definetly looking forward to going back for some long weekends this year.

Easter

Sorry I am so far behind on this blog. Easter was great! We went to church and lunch then we came home. The boys didn't want to stay at church and hunt and I figured Addyson attention span for that would last about 2 minutes so we skipped that and they had their own hunt at home. Here are some pics of Addyson in her Easter dress!! (The boys ripped their church clothes off as soon as they got home so I wasn't fast enough to get them too)

New words!!

Addyson is learning new words every day it seems like. Her newest word is stinky. But the funniest part is she actually said "poop" before "mama". Sure makes me feel loved!! Here is a list of her words in the order she said them: dada, hi, bubba, poop, mama, stinky. At first we thought it was just coincidence and sounded like stinky, but she said it about 5 times and it was really clear. Here is some video we got of her saying it .....towards the end of the clip. Enjoy!!! (she's definitely her Daddy's daughter)

Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. We went to Missouri for 5 days and the kids really had a good time. It didn't snow though so that was a little disappointing. Addyson really didn't understand what was going on and even though she loves tearing up paper we really couldn't get her to open her presents. She did like playing with all the toys she got. The boys got a few wii games and board games that they had fun with. We may make a return trip in April for spring break (if gas prices don't go through the roof again).
Addyson got her ears pierced the day after christmas and they look beautiful. I'll get some pictures up soon so you all can see them. I hope everyone had a great christmas and a happy new year.
